Record your screen and mic in the browser, no download.
Click record, choose a screen, window, or tab, and createademo's recorder captures it locally. Nothing is uploaded.
This records your screen using the browser's own capture API, so there is nothing to install and no desktop app sitting in your menu bar. Pick a tab, a window, or the whole screen, record, and the file saves straight to your machine.
Capture and encoding both happen locally, so the recording is never uploaded — which matters when the thing you are recording is a logged-in product with real customer data on screen.
WebM, which every modern browser plays and most editors import. If you need MP4 for a tool that will not accept WebM, convert it afterwards — screen content survives a re-encode with no visible loss.
Browsers only offer to share system or tab audio for tab and full-screen captures, and macOS does not expose it for full-screen at all. Microphone audio works everywhere. If you need narration plus app sound, record the tab rather than the window.
No hard cap, but the recording is buffered in memory until you stop, so long sessions on a low-memory machine can drop frames. For anything past a few minutes, record in segments.
Capture resolution follows the surface you picked, so recording a small window and playing it back full width upscales it. Maximise the window or record the full screen, and keep the browser at 100% zoom.
createademo turns screenshots and recordings into demos your buyers click through themselves. Free plan, full editor, no credit card.
